It is not widely known, but The War Memorial Center is a free public space for all of the cities residents to visit and enjoy. While being a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, and not controlled by the county, the memorial relies upon community support for its programs and services for veterans. Covid-19 cancelled many events at the center, and like many other venues, has drastically cut revenue. Please consider a larger donation to help support their mission: "Honor the Dead, Serve the Living" .
